Procedure
The procedure described in Example 1(b) is repeated, except that 122.7 g (0.5 mol) of 3-methyl-12-(3-penten-2-yl)-1-aza-1,5,9-cyclododecatriene, 41.1 g (0.25 mol) of hydroxylamine sulfate, 50 ml of concentrated hydrochloric acid and 250 ml of water are used. Working up yields 135.9 g (0.488 mol) of 2-methyl-11-(3-penten-2-yl)-11-amino-undeca-4,8-dienal oxime; yield 97.6% of theory. nD20 =1.5091.
