A solution of 0.068 g (0.15 mmol) of Compound 14F in 3 mL of dichloromethane and 2.5 mL of trifluoroacetic acid was stirred at room temperature overnight. The reaction mixture was then concentrated on the rotary evaporator to obtain 3-[3-(1-ethyl-4,4,6-trimethyl-2-oxo-1,4-dihydro-2H-benzo[d][1,3]oxazin-7-yl)-4-trifluoromethoxy-phenyl]-acrylic acid as a white solid (Compound 14, 0.06 g). MS (electrospray): mass calculated for C257H30F3NO5, 505.13; m/z found 506, [M+H]+.
