To a 16×100 mm tube was added benzenesulfonamide (58 mg, 0.37 mmol), tris(dibenzylideneacetone)dipalladium (0) (2 mg, 0.0022 mmol), 4,5-bis(diphenylphosphino)-9,9-dimethylxanthene (4 mg 0.0077 mmol) and cesium carbonate (240 mg, 1.25 mmol). The tube was evacuated and back filled with nitrogen. 8-Bromo-6-chloroimidazo[1,2-b]pyridazine (120 mg, 0.447 mmol) from Example I(1), step 1b and 1,4-dioxane (1.0 ml) was then added. The mixture was allowed to heat at 100° C. for 16 hours. The solution was then diluted with dichloromethane, filtered and concentrated in vacuo to afford crude N-(6-chloroimidazo[1,2-b]pyridazin-8-yl)benzenesulfonamide 100 mg (73%).
