Reaction Steps
5-[(4-methoxy-benzyl)-but-3-enyl-carbamoyl]-hex-5-enoic acid methyl ester (t) prepared by above Step 1 was added to the catalyst solution containing Grubb's (I) catalysis such as ruthenium dissolved in organic solvent such as CH2Cl2 to give 4-[1-(4-methoxy-benzyl)-2-oxo-1,2,5,6-tetrahydro-pyridin-3-yl]-butyric acid methyl ester (u).
