Procedure
A mixture of Example 72 (58.8 mg) in 0.6 mL of methanol was treated with 1 mL of 1.7 NLiOH solution for 4 hours. Trifluoroacetic acid (300 μL) was added, and the mixture was purified by reverse-phase HPLC to provide the desired acid. MS (ESI) m/z 382 [M+H]+; 1H NMR (500 MHz, methanol-d4) δ ppm 1.57 (ddd, J=19.53, 12.97, 9.61 Hz, 1 H) 2.22 (m, 1 H) 2.32 (m, 1 H) 2.50 (m, 1 H) 2.61 (m, 1 H) 3.02 (dd, J=11.60, 9.15 Hz, 1 H) 3.31 (d, J=6.71 Hz, 2 H) 3.32 (m, 1 H) 3.54 (m, 2 H) 3.66 (m, 2 H) 4.36 (dt, J=41.58, 8.66 Hz, 1 H) 7.38 (t, J=7.78 Hz, 1 H) 7.84 (d, J=8.24 Hz, 1 H) 7.98 (d, J=7.93 Hz, 1 H) 8.28 (m, 1 H).
