Procedure
To the solid material prepared in Step A (0.028 g, 0.047 mmol) was added a 4 M solution of hydrogen chloride in dioxane (2 mL). After 2 h at ambient temperature the reaction was concentrated in vacuo, affording the title compound as a white solid. 1H NMR (CD3OD): δ 7.99 (d, J=5.5 Hz, 2H), 7.47 (d, J=8.0 Hz, 2H), 5.42 (s, 0.5H as a single rotamer), 5.36 (t, J=3.0 Hz, 0.5H as a single rotamer), 5.31 (s, 0.5H as a single rotamer), 5.26 (t, J=3.0 Hz, 0.5H as a single rotamer), 4.01 (d, J=9.0 Hz, 1H), 3.96 (d, J=9.0 Hz, 1H), 3.76 (m, 6H), 3.68 (s, 3H), 3.49 (m, 2H), 3.03 (m, 2H), 2.20 (m, 3H), 1.94 (m, 1H), 1.83 (m, 2H), 1.55 (m, 2H), 1.32 (m, 2H), 1.15 (m, 2H), 0.89 (dd, J=2.0 Hz, J=7.0 Hz, 3H); LC/MS 496.1 (M+1).
