Procedure

Hydrazine hydrate (99%, 0.44 g, 8.72 mmol) was added to a solution of phenyl(4-{[3-(4-cyanotetrahydro-2H-pyran-4-yl)phenyl]thio}phenyl)carbamate (1.50 g, 3.49 mmol) (example 5) in 1,4-dioxane (10 mL). The reaction mixture was refluxed at 110° C. for about 4 hours. The solvent was evaporated under vacuum and water was added. The white solid so obtained was filtered under vacuum and dried to obtain the title compound. Yield: 1.0 g
