4,6-Dichloro-pyrido[3,2-d]pyrimidine (100 mg; 0.503 mmol) and 76 mg (0.503 mmol) of thiazolo[5,4-b]pyridin-2-yl-amine in 0.3 mol of phenol were heated at 140° C. for 2 hours with stirring. Ethyl acetate was added to the reaction solution and the resulting solid was purified by a thin layer silica gel column chromatography (chloroform:methanol=10:1) to give 78 mg (yield: 45%) of (6-chloro-pyrido[3,2-d]pyrimidin-4-yl)-thiazolo[5,4-b]pyridin-2-yl-amine as a yellow solid.
