In a two-step sequence similar to the previous example, alkylation of the above intermediate ethyl 2-(4-{2-[(5-ethylpyrimidin-2-yl)amino]ethyl}phenoxy)propanoate with 4-trifluoromethoxy-benzylbromide (1 eq) (1.5 eq NaH; 80C) followed by hydrolysis of the intermediate ester afforded the title compound.
