(R)-3-Chloro-5,11-dihydro-5-[1-(4-dimethylaminophenethyl)pyrrolidin-2-ylmethyl]dibenzo[b,e][1,4]oxazepine (10.6 g, 22.9 mmol) was dissolved in 2-propanol (100 ml). 4 M hydrogen chloride/2-propanol (22.9 ml) was added to the obtained solution. The solvent was evaporated under reduced pressure, and 4 M hydrogen chloride/2-propanol (11.5 ml) was added to the residue. The solvent was evaporated under reduced pressure to obtain the title compound in the form of a light yellow solid (12.9 g, 100%).
