Analogously to Example 7(a), 8 g. of (1S,5R,6R)-6-[(E)-3-oxo-1-octen-6-ynyl]-2-oxabicyclo[3,3,0]octan-3-one [preparation see Example 13(a)] is reacted with methylmagnesium bromide, thus obtaining 6.8 g. of the title compound as a colorless oil.
