Procedure

128 mg of the product of Example 16 were introduced into 2.56 ml of dioxane and 0.52 ml of 2N sodium hydroxide and the mixture was stirred at ambient temperature for 16 hours, then diluted with 10 ml of water, neutralized with 0.52 ml of 2N hydrochloric acid and evaporated to dryness under reduced pressure to obtain 135 mg of crude product which was crystallized from ethyl acetate and hexane to obtain 85 mg of the expected product melting at 180° C.

Workup

  1. customevaporated to dryness under reduced pressure
  2. customto obtain 135 mg of crude product which
  3. customwas crystallized from ethyl acetate and hexane
