Procedure
By following the procedure described in example 1A N-methyl-3,4-methylenedioxyaniline (N. J. Houlihan et al., J.Het. Chem. 19, 1453 (1982)) (3.02 g, 20 mmol) was reacted with phosgene to give 3.0 g N-methyl-N -(3,4-methylenedioxyphenyl)carbamoylchloride. M.p. 71°-73° C.
