Procedure
A solution of (1R,2S)-[1-(3,4-Difluorobenzyl)-2-hydroxy-3-(3-methoxy-benzylamino)-propyl]-carbamic acid tert-butyl ester (0.04 g, 0.09 mmol) in methylene chloride (1 mL) was treated with 4 N HCl in dioxane (1 mL) at ambient temperature in one portion. The reaction was stirred for 12 hours and the solvent removed at reduced pressure to give the product as a solid (0.033 g, 98%). MS: 337 (M+H, 100%).
