Procedure
A solution of tert-Butyl 4-[4-(2-(N-(2-fluorobenzyl)-N-methylamine)ethoxy)phenyl]-4-oxobutyrate (Step E, 2.23 g, 5.3 mol) in dichloromethane (20 ml) was treated with trifluoroacetic acid (10 ml). The reaction mixture was stirred at ambient temperature for 2hours, and concentrated in vacuo. The purification was done by flash chromatography on silica gel column (chloroform:methanol, 92.5:7.5-90:10 spiked with acetic acid) to provide the title compound.
