To a suspension of 3-(2-chloro-6-trifluoromethyl-pyridin-3-yl)-N-(3-ethynyl-5-fluoro-4-methanesulfonylamino-benzyl)-acrylamide (50 mg, 0.105 mmol) in CH3OH (1 mL) was added dropwise 30% NaOCH3 in CH3OH (3 eq) at 0° C. The mixture was stirred for 12 hours at room temperature. The reaction was diluted with EtOAc and washed two times with 1N HCl and brine, dried over anhyd. MgSO4, filtered and concentrated under reduced pressure. The resulting residue was purified by column chromatography to give the title compound (10 mg, 20%).
