Procedure
A solution of (2-{3-chloro-5-[(2-cyano-ethyl)-cyclopropyl-carbamoyl]-phenoxy}-ethyl)-pyridin-4-yl-carbamic acid tert-butyl ester (0.075 g) in a mixture of dichloromethane (5 ml) and trifluoroacetic acid (5 ml) was stored at room temperature for 18 h and then concentrated under reduced pressure. The residue was triturated with ethereal hydrogen chloride to give the title compound (0.065 g) as a colourless gum.
