A solution of 4-[{3-[2-(tert-butoxycarbonyl-pyridin-4-yl-amino)-ethoxy]-5-chloro-benzoyl}-(2-carbamoyl-phenyl)-amino]-butyric acid methyl ester (0.031 g) in a mixture of dichloromethane (1 ml) and trifluoroacetic acid (1 ml) was stored at room temperature for 1 h and then concentrated under reduced pressure to give the title compound (0.032 g) as a colourless gum.
