In a similar manner to that described in Example (1d), 3-methoxy-4-{3-[(4-methoxyphenyl)-(3-phenylpropylamino)methyl]phenylamino}-3-cyclobutene-1,2-dione [prepared as described in step (c) above] and a solution of ammonia in ethanol (2N, 8 ml) were reacted, to afford the title compound (1.58 g) as a yellow solid.
