Procedure

Following a similar procedure to that described in Example (1b), 2.80 g of N-[1-(2,4-difluorophenyl)ethyl]-N-[(4-methoxyphenyl)-(3-nitrophenyl)methyl]amine [prepared as described in step (a) above], 3.34 g of nickel chloride hexahydrate and 1.12 g of sodium borohydride were reacted, to obtain 2.23 g of the title compound as a yellow oil.
