Reaction Steps
Following a similar procedure to that described in Example (1b), 6.13 g of N-[(4-methoxyphenyl)-(3-nitrophenyl)methyl]-N-[(R)-1-(naphthalen-2-yl)ethyl]amine [prepared as described in step (a) above], 7.06 g of nickel chloride hexahydrate and 2.25 g of sodium borohydride were reacted, to obtain 5.23 g of the title compound as a pale yellow oil.
