Procedure
A solution of ethyl 2-chloro-5-fluoro-6-(4-methylpiperazinyl)-3-pyridine-carboxylate (Example D-2, 1.00 g, 3.314 mmol) and cyclopropylamine (2 mL) in DMA (1 mL) was sealed in a pressure bottle and heated at 90° C. for 60 hours. The reaction mixture was diluted with dichloromethane (30 mL), washed with water, and dried on sodium sulfate. Flash chromatography on silica gel column using dichloromethane as eluent provided compound 0.85 g of the title compound as an oil.
Workup
- washwashed with water
- customdried on sodium sulfate
