Reaction Steps
Methanesulfonyl chloride (0.14 ml) was added to an ice-cooled solution of 1-(2-hydroxyethyl)-1-phenyl-3-(4-trifluoromethyl-3-pyridylcarbonyl)thiourea (0.60 g) and triethylamine (0.42 ml) in dichloromethane, and stirred for 3 hours at 20° C. The mixture was washed (water), dried (magnesium sulfate), evaporated and the residue recrystallized (ethanol) to give 3-phenyl-2-(4-trifluoromethyl-3-pyridylcarbonyl)iminothiazolidine (0.26 g, Compound D-60).
