15.25 g of the compound obtained in Step A (62.7 mmol) are dissolved in 160 ml of dioxane. A solution of 125 mL of 1M KOH is added dropwise, and the whole is stirred at ambient temperature for one hour. There are subsequently added 125 mL of 1M HCl, and the compound is extracted with dichloromethane. The organic phase is dried over MgSO4, filtered and concentrated to dryness. The title product is obtained in the form of a powder.
