Procedure

HCl (g) was bubbled through a solution of tert-butyl 1-(3,4-dichlorophenyl)-6-((methoxyimino)methyl)-3-azabicyclo[3.1.0]hexane-3-carboxylate (2.40 g, 6.23 mmol) obtained in step-1 of example 7 in dry DCM (40 mL). After the completion of the reaction as confirmed by TLC, the reaction mixture was purged with excess of nitrogen. The solvent was removed in vacuo to afford a gummy solid which was titurated with hexane to afford hydrochloric acid salt of 1-(3,4-dichlorophenyl)-3-azabicyclo[3.1.0]hexane-6-carbaldehyde O-methyl oxime (1.95 g, 97%) as a white solid as a mixture of isomers.
