Reaction Steps
To a solution of 2-[1-[2-(2-chlorophenyl)ethyl]imidazol-4-yl]pyridine-4-carbonitrile (1 eq) in DCM (10 mL) was added NBS (1.05 eq) at rt and stirred for 3 hr at rt. Washed by H2O, dried and concentrated to afford the title compound (95%). [M+H] Calc'd for C17H12BrClN4, 387. Found, 387.
