Procedure
A 100 mL round-bottom flask was charged with tert-butyl (2S)-4-[[2-chloro-4-(morpholin-4-yl)phenyl]methyl]-2-methylpiperazine-1-carboxylate (1.20 g, 2.93 mmol, 1.00 equiv), trifluoroacetic acid (4 mL), dichloromethane (20 mL). The resulting solution was stirred for 1 h at room temperature and concentrated under reduced pressure to yield 0.910 g (crude) of 4-(3-chloro-4-[[(3S)-3-methylpiperazin-1-yl]methyl]phenyl)morpholine as light yellow oil. LCMS (ESI, m/z): 310 [M+H]+.
