In a solution of THF/H2O (1:1, 35 mL) containing the product (IX) (1 g, 4.1 mmol) LiOH.H2O (432 mg, 10.3 mmol) is added in one portion. The mixture is stirred for 1 h at room temperature. The solvent is then evaporated and then a 5% H3PO4 solution in water is added until a pH=3 is obtained. The product is then extracted with EtOAc, dried (MgSO4), and then evaporated. After purification, the product (X) (840 mg, 89%) is isolated as a colorless lacquer.
