Reaction Steps
A mixture of 2-pyrimidinecarbothioamide (2 g) and 2-chloro-4,4,4-trifluoro-3-oxo-butyric acid ethyl ester (3.2 g) in 10 mL of DMF is heated at 110° C. with stirring overnight. The mixture is concentrated under vacuum, and purified on silica gel column to afford the title compound.
