5-[1-(Cyclopropylmethyl)-4-(trifluoromethyl)-1H-benzotriazol-5-yl]-6-fluoropyridine-2-carbaldehyde (33 mg, 0.091) was dissolved in dichloromethane (2 mL) and cooled to 0° C. The mixture was treated with sodium borohydride (8.6 mg, 0.23 mmol, 2.5 equiv) and after 2 hours, the mixture was diluted with ethyl acetate (30 mL), washed with sodium bicarbonate (2×30 mL, aqueous saturated), dried with sodium sulfate, filtered and concentrated in vacuo. The residue was purified by silica gel gradient chromatography, providing the titled compound.
