{4-[4-Chloro-1-(cyclopropylmethyl)-1H-benzotriazol-5-yl]phenyl}methanol (Example 29, 50 mg, 0.16 mmol) was dissolved in dichloromethane (1.6 mL) and treated with diacetoxy(phenyl)-iodane (51 mg, 0.16 mmol) and (2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidin-1-yl)oxidanyl (2.5 mg, 0.016 mmol). The mixture was stirred at ambient tempuratures for 16 hours, diluted with dichloromethane and washed with sodium bicarbonate (2×30 ml, aqueous saturated). The organic extract was dried with sodium sulfate, filtered and concentrated in vacuo to afford the titled compound.
