Pyridinium p-toluenesulfonate (65.0 mg, 0.26 mmol) was added to a solution of Intermediate 96d in MeOH (2.0 mL). The reaction was heated to 60° C. for 3.5 h then cooled and solvent volume reduced in vacuo. The residue was partitioned between EtOAc and water. The aqueous layer was then extracted with EtOAc (3×). The combined organic layers were washed with brine, dried (MgSO4), filtered and evaporated in vacuo to give the title compound (89.0 mg, 99%). LCMS (Method 4): Rt 3.49 min, m/z 693 [MH+].
