A mixture of 2.5 g (0.015 moles) of 3-hydroxy-1,2-dihydro-pyrido[2,3-e]-as-triazine, 2.16 g (0.03 moles) of methyl chloroformate and 100 ml of dioxane is maintained at 5°-10° C. for 3 hours and then at 40°-50° C. for 5 hours. Thereafter the solvent is removed to obtain 3.58 g (79%) of the title compound; m.p.: 159°-160° C.
