A suspension of 5.7 g (16.5 mmol) of the above pyrimidine acid, 20 ml of dimethylformamide, and 5.7 g (35.1 mmol) of carbonyldiimidazole is stirred at 50°-60° C. for 30 minutes and 3 hrs at room temperature. Acetonitrile (40 ml) and ether (40 ml) are added and the product filtered, washed with acetronitrile, ether, and dried to give 6.3 g of the title imidazolide.
