Procedure

Following the procedure of Example 1(d) except substituting ethyl 1-(2-chloro-4,5-methylenedioxybenzyl)-3-phenyl-5-propyloxyindole-2-carboxylate for ethyl 5-benzyloxy-1-(2-chloro-4,5-methylenedioxybenzyl)-3-phenylindole-2-carboxylate, the title compound was prepared as a white solid (0.053 g, 88%). The title compound was converted to the sodium salt using 1.0 eq of 0.1N sodium hydroxide in ethanol. MS (MH+): 464.0.
