Reaction Steps
2-Benzyloxy-6-chloro-4-cyanopyridine (0.8 g, 0.0033 mol) and meta-trifluoromethyl phenol (0.58 g, 0.0033×1.1 mol) were dissolved in 20 ml of N-methyl-pyrrolidinone, and anhydrous potassium carbonate (0.5 g, 0.0033×1.1 mol) was added thereto and the resultant solution was stirred for about 2.5 hours at about 100° C.
