Procedure
A mixture of 0.1 g (0.2 mmol) of [N-(4,6-dimethylpyrimidinyl)aminocarbonyl]-o-methylsulfinylmethylbenzenesulfonamide and 0.3 ml of 30% hydrogen peroxide in 5 ml of acetic acid was stirred at room temperature for 3 days. The resulting white solid precipitate was filtered to afford 30 mg of the desired product: m.p. 222°-225° C.
