Procedure
4-Chloro-1-(3,5-dichloro-pyridin-4-ylmethyl)-6-methoxy-phthalazine (3.9 g, 11 mmoles), prepared as described in example 45, and n-propylamine (40 ml) were put in autoclave at external 120° C. (internal 100° C., 4 atm) for 2 hours. The solution was concentrated to residue, taken up in CH2Cl2 and 5% HCl and extracted more times. The aqueous phase was alkalinised with K2CO3 and extracted with CH2Cl2. The resultant solid was crystallised from acetonitrile (110 ml), then filtered to give 3.26 g of the title compound (yield: 82%). m.p.: 222-223° C.
