Procedure

A solution of 4(3,5-dichloro-pyridin-4-ylmethyl)-7-methoxy-phthalazine-1-carboxylic acid amide (1.06 g, 2.92 mmoles), prepared as described in example 109, in pyridine (80 ml) and trifluoroacetic anhydride (1.65 ml, 11.67 mmoles), under dry N2 at room temperature, was stirred for 3 hours, then dried, taken up in CH2Cl2, washed with citric acid, 5% NaOH and water. The organic phase was anhydrified and dried to give a solid which was flash chromatographed (eluent: CH2Cl2/CH3OH 99:1) to give 0.33 g of the title compound (yield: 33%).
