Procedure
m-Chloroperoxybenzoic acid (0.19 g) was added to a solution 2-chloro-5-(4-[{1,1-dimethylethyl}oxycarbonyl]piperidin-4-ylmethylsulfanyl)-N-(tricyclo[3.3.1.13,7]dec-1-ylmethyl)-benzamide (0.165 g, Example 58a) in chloroform (10 ml). After 5 h calcium hydroxide (120 mg) was added and 30 min. later the salts removed by filtration. The reaction mixture was concentrated, then dissolved in methanol (10 ml) and hydrochloric acid (1.0 ml of a 4N solution in dioxane) added. After stirring at room temperature for 14 h, concentration under reduced pressure yielded the title compound (0.075 g).
