Procedure

2-Bromo-5-(4-[{1,1-dimethylethyl}oxycarbonyl]-piperazin-1-yl)methyl-N-(tricyclo[3.3.1.13,7]dec-1-ylmethyl)-benzamide (Example 65b, 0.40 g) was dissolved in methanol (15 ml), and 4N HCl in dioxane (3 ml) added. The mixture was stirred at room temperature for 14 h. The solvent was removed under vacuum and the resulting solid was triturated with ether to afford the title compound as a white powder (0.23 g).
