Reaction Steps
1 equivalent of 3-[4-(3-chloro-4-methoxybenzylamino)benzothieno[2,3-d]pyrimidin-2-yl]propionic acid and 1.2 equivalents of thionyl chloride are stirred in dichloromethane for 2 hours. The solvent is removed, affording 3-[4-(3-chloro-4-methoxybenzylamino)benzothieno[2,3-d]pyrimidin-2-yl]propionyl chloride.
