Procedure
7 ml of hydrazine hydrate is added to a suspension containing 450 ml of ethanol and 22.33 g of the product of Stage A. The reaction medium is taken to reflux for 15 hours. The ethanol is evaporated off, the reaction mixture is agitated with 200 ml of ethyl acetate, washed with salt water, dried, filtered and concentrated. In this way 9.60 g of sought product is obtained.
