In a manner similar to that of Example 1(h), by reaction of 4.48 g (24 mmol) of 3-methoxymethoxyphenylboronic acid (described in Example 1(g)) with 7 g (22.4 mmol) of methyl 3,5-dimethyl-4-trifluoromethanesulphonyloxybenzoate, 24 mL of 2M potassium carbonate and 1.29 g (1.1 mmol) of tetrakis(triphenylphosphine)palladium, followed by deprotection in methanol, the desired product is obtained.
