2.1 g of tetraethylethylene, 2 ml (18 mmol) of dimethylchlorosilane and 200 mg of AlCl3 are reacted according to Example 1. After 2 hours, the reaction mixture is diluted with pentane and the precipitate is filtered off. The pentane is stripped from the filtrate in vacuo and the residue is distilled. This gives 2.8 g (80 % of theory) of product as a colourless liquid. Boiling point= 75° -80° .C/0.195 mbar.
