Reaction Steps
Using the procedure of Step C of Example 1, the product of Step B was reacted at reflux for 24 hours in tetrahydrofuran to obtain a 65% yield of 1,3-dihydro-3-methoxymethyl-1-[(2-thiazolyl)-imino]-6-chloro-furo[3,4-b]-quinoline-9-ol melting at >270° C.
