In 6 ml of dichloromethane were dissolved 286 mg of (4S)-4-benzyloxycarbonylamino-3-isoxazolidinone and 540 mg of the Compound (73) obtained in Example 73. To the solution was added 325 mg of DCC dissolved in 2 ml of dichloromethane. The mixture was stirred at room temperature for 2 hours. To the reaction solution was added ethyl acetate, and the crystals which separated out were filtered off. The filtrate was washed with water and dried (Na2SO4), followed by evaporating off the solvent. The residue was subjected to a silica gel column chromatography, followed by elution with hexane-ethyl acetate (2:1) to give 553 mg of the subject Compound (75) as a pale yellow oily product.
