To the solution of the compound prepared in (d) (50 mg, 0.089 mmole) in anisole was added trifluoroacetic acid under ice-cooling. The mixture was stirred for 5 hours, during which the temperature of the mixture was left rising up to room temperature. After isopropyl ether was added to the reaction mixture, solids deposited were collected to give 31 mg of the title compound as the colorless solid (yield, 62%).
