Procedure
In a manner analogous to Example 10 2,3-Dihydro-6,7-dimethyl-2-(2-pyridyl)thiazolo- [3,2-a]benzimidazole (2.63 g) was reacted with m-chloroperoxybenzoic acid (1.45 g) to give the title compound as the 1/4 hydrate, mp 177°-8° C. decomp.
