100 mg (0.16 mmol) ({[5-(4,4-Dimethyl-2,5-dioxo-3-pyridin-4-ylmethyl-imidazolidin-1-yl)-2-trifluoromethoxy-phenylcarbamoyl]-methyl}-amino)-acetic acid methyl ester trifluoro acetate were dissolved in 5 ml dioxane/water (9/1) and treated with 9.3 mg (0.39 mmol) lithium hydroxide. After stirring for 1H at 50° C., the solvent was evaporated and the residue was purified by preparative HPLC. (C18 reversed phase column, elution with a water (0.1% trifluoracetic acid)/acetonitrile gradient) Yield: 10 mg.
